CRB – ID Checking
All applicant’s need to provide at least three documents of evidence to support their CRB Disclosure Application and sometimes five documents depending on which types of Identity documents they have available.
All documents should be originals, not photocopies.

Please note that from 28 May 2012 CRB’s identity checking guidelines will be strengthened in order to improve public protection. However, CRB will run both the new and existing guidelines in parallel from 28 May 2012 until the 31 August 2012, when the existing guidelines will cease to apply.
The new identity checking process will have three routes, and includes an option to use a new external identity validation check, which can be used by organisations for applicants who cannot provide the required documentation. This external identity validation services has yet to be finalised but details will be made available by CRB soon.
