Since April 2008 criminal records checking procedures came into operation under  Access NI.

Access NI will only respond to requests from registered bodies.

ARC (NI) is registered with Access NI as an umbrella group to process criminal records checks on behalf of other organisations.

The ARC (NI) Disclosure Service offers you:

A cost effective service. No registration fee, just pay for the checks you need.  One administration fee per application covers checking forms and all enquiries needed.

• A checking service to ensure applications are accurate and processed promptly to Access NI.
  This will assist employers engaging staff as soon as possible.
• Model policies & forms so that you meet the Access NI Code of Practice requirements.
• Updates on procedure and dissemination of good practice on an ongoing basis.
• A direct interface with Access NI and support for your organisation in interpreting information
  to ensure the highest levels of safety in engaging personnel.
• Workshops on issues arising from criminal records processes.
